DESCRIPTION
Two carved figures of Burma (Myanmar) musicians playing a drum and another percussion instrument.  Hand carved and hand painted. Rather heavy. Original painted surface.  Wood may be teak, but they are thoroughly painted, so it's difficult to tell for certain.  Best estimate for age is early to mid 20th century.
CONDITION
Overall excellent.  Some paint flakes, and considerable surface discoloration, commensurate with age.  A FINE AND UNUSUAL PAIR OF SOUTHEAST ASIAN FOLK ART CARVED FIGURES.
