Spiral cutterhead for Woodmaster 712 planer with 78 Carbide Inserts

Description

This spiral cutterhead fits Woodmaster 712 planer. 78 carbide inserts  sit along six spirals in the stepped way. Instead of cutting the whole length  of the single straight blade, spiral cutterhead make staggered cuts across the  length. As the inserts are slightly angled to the feeding, spiral cutterhead  produces shear cut. It leaves much smoother and cleaner finish than the regular  straight blade cutterhead do. Noise is hugely reduced. The inexpensive carbide  inserts last 40 to times longer than HSS blades work. Every insert is marred  with a dot in the corner which shows you which edges can be used.  It's cheaper to us for the long run. Dust  extraction is much easier with the shorter and thinner chips.
