I am selling TWO tablets SEPARATEY: One tablet is framed in gold as it is gold leaved.  The other in silver, as it is silver leaved.
These are likely pages from a 19th century (Mandalay period) Kammavaca, the most sacred of Burmese religious texts and was used for monastic ritual, most commonly for ordination. It contains rules of monastic service and includes scripts (khandaka) on ordination, admonitions to the newly ordained monk. Written in the Pali language using Burmese script. The square letters were written in thick and black cinnabar lacquer.
Tablets about 4 3/4 by 20 1/2 inches in frame total: 15 1/2 by 34 1/2 inches and about 1 inch thick (elevated tablet - see pictures).
Each framed tablet is sold SEPARATELY.
IMPORTANT NOTE ==> When ordering, send me a message stating whether you want the Gold, Silver or Both tablets. If buying Both, you need to choose quantity as "2."  There will be an automatic discount of 15% applied if ordering 2.
