    Description

Late 19th C. Black Lacquered Wood Burmese Monk’s Lunch Box.
A late 19th century tiered black lacquered Monk lunch box bowl set. This offering set is made from bamboo in a black and red lacquered finish. This piece was owned by a monk to collect his daily food from the Temple in the late 19th century.
This is a gorgeous piece of history that you can proudly display in your home and repurpose as a storage container or a jewelry box. It is in excellent condition and engraved with what we think is a prayer and the Monk’s name.
