Here we have classical marionette Hanuman figure (the monkey god of the Hindus). He is the King of the Monkey Army and is associated with the worship of Visnu. He appears on potency and fertility amulets in Thailand and Burma. It's a Fine and Classic handmade which was made by highly skill craftsman.
Before the advent of television, puppets like this were very popular and played a crucial role in Asia Culture and religion. It was entirely hand made, even the embroidered clothing and custom made jewelry and hand carved teak wood head and arms, the costume is embroidered by hand, elaborate costume made of sequins, gold and glass trim. Marionette is made of wood with moveable joints for puppet movement, the part for handle strings is wooden. Yoke Thay (Myanmar Marionettes) is the traditional string puppets of Myanmar, wooden marionettes manipulated by means of strings.
