Antique offering Burmese bowl Thabeik
handmade repousse in high grade silver around 900
period early 1900s (around 1900/1910)
Central Burma probably Rangoon
The bowl is branded with a peacock drawn at the base
and has been thoroughly tested as a solid silver
the outside is covered with an antioxidant film, probably palladium
to be tested it was filed in non-visible places as well as on the inside (as photo shown result), to be sure of the quality of the silver
the bowl weighs 315.9 gr
diameter about 12 cm
height 8.5 cm
in very good condition
it has no dents on the repousse
one small dent on the side of the base
