    Antique Burmese Buddhist Monk Statue Carved Wood With Enameled Eyes
    Circa 1920s
    This statue is a beautiful work of art.  The carving of the face provides great character to the statue.  From all those years and still has traces of gilt, glass sequins and red lacquer.  The enameled eyes are amazing. Can't bypass the wear and tear and especially the statue's nose. The kids were using this item as a bookend, until I saw the same Monk Statue online in better condition selling at 00.  Now this statue is behind glass.
