    Description

These are Burmese lacquerware. If you don’t know what they are, YouTube has some great videos of how they’re made(look up Burmese lacquerware). It takes like eight months to make one. They put lots and lots of coats of lacquer, one at a time drying between each coat and a damp basement. The lacquer is a sap from a tree, and it only dries in damp environments which is amazing. They are hand painted after all the lacquer is finished. These two are both a little rough, but still intact and very displayable with an amazing story of how they’re made. The round box is in two pieces and is 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 7 1/2 inches tall when put together. The bowl is 9 1/2 inches in diameter and 8 1/2 inches tall (these aren’t exact measurements just closest to the nearest half inch. Also, I’d take pride in packing and shipping so they will be packaged very well.
